We want to give you a chance to share the experience of food as it is freshly harvested with our 2013 CSA Program. Literally from our soil to your home in a matter of hours vs. hours of travel from a truck out of state!
Even if its not through Sozo, we encourage you to seek out your local farmers first!
By being involved in a CSA program , it allows people to take part ownership in a local farm by not only subscribing as a CSA member, but also by offering ideas on what to grow, helping through our "sweat equity" program and workshop days.
**With Summer in full swing it's hard to think about cooler and shorter days. They are a coming though! Good thing that means fall and winter gardens are a coming too! Everything that can be planted in spring gardens can be planted in the late summer for the fall garden and many actually taste better with the early frosts! We are excited to be gearing up for the Fall/Winter CSA Program.
In addition to the salad greens, lettuces, and herbs, we will be growing snap and dry beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, chard, cucumber, kale, radishes, onions, potatoes and some varieties of squash. There will undoubtedly be produce from our summer gardens that will help fill the first couple weeks shares and through some nifty "four season" grow techniques, we will be able to provide good food into the winter months. As we grow as a farm we confidently expect to grow most all varieties of produce through the entire year. We are prepping for the good times to come!
